1. Overview

Welcome to Beauty Bar by Kristina Ruggerio (“we,” “our,” or “us”). We are a full-service 

salon, makeup studio, medspa, and day spa offering a wide range of beauty and wellness 

services, including injectables. 

By booking an appointment or receiving any service from us, you agree to the following. To ensure the best possible experience for every guest, we have established the following Terms, Policies & Privacy Notice. 

These policies are intended to protect both our guests and our team while providing clear expectations regarding appointments, services, payments, privacy, and the use of our website. 

Please read these Terms carefully before booking or receiving services. 

2. Agreement

By doing any of the following, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms, 

Policies & Privacy Notice:

  1. Scheduling or requesting an appointment 

  1. Paying a deposit or retainer 

  1. Purchasing products, packages, memberships, or gift cards 

  1. Receiving salon, spa, wellness, or medical spa services 

  1. Completing intake or consent forms 

  1. Using our website 

  1. Communicating with us by phone, text, email, or social media 

These Terms apply to all clients, website visitors, and purchasers unless otherwise required by applicable law. 

3. Definitions

Throughout this document:  

"Client," "Guest," "You," and "Your" refer to any individual receiving services, purchasing products, making appointments or using our website. 

"Provider" refers to any licensed professional, independent contractor, medical provider, employee, apprentice, or authorized representative of Beauty Bar by Kristina Ruggerio. 

"Medical Spa Services" include treatments performed under the supervision of an appropriate licensed medical provider, including but not limited to injectable treatments, laser services, RF microneedling, IPL, and other medical aesthetic procedures. "Retainer" refers to any deposit collected to reserve appointment time. 

4. Booking Appointments

Appointments may be scheduled through our booking software (Mangomint.com), by phone at (302) 658-4400, or in person as a walk-in. To confirm an appointment, we require a 50% deposit at the time of booking. This deposit is applied toward your total service balance on the day of your appointment. 

Submitting an appointment request does not guarantee an appointment until it has been accepted or confirmed by Beauty Bar by Kristina Ruggerio. 

Appointment of availability is subject to provider schedules, treatment suitability, equipment availability, staffing, and business operations. 

5. Appointment Confirmation

Appointment reminders are provided as courtesy. 

Clients remain responsible for knowing their scheduled appointment date and time regardless of whether reminders are received. 

Failure to receive a reminder does not waive cancellation fees or other applicable policies. 

6. Right to Modify or Decline Appointments

Beauty Bar by Kristina Ruggerio reserves the right, in its sole discretion and to the extent permitted by law, 

to: 

  1. Decline appointment requests 

  2. Modify appointment lengths 

  3. Adjust scheduled services 

  4. Substitute providers when appropriate 

  5. Require consultations before treatment 

  6. Reschedule appointments 

  7. Cancel appointments 

  8. This may occur for operational, staffing, safety, medical, scheduling, equipment, or other legitimate 

  9. business reasons. 

Whenever practical, we will make reasonable efforts to notify clients promptly of any changes. 

 7. Service Eligibility

The health and safety of our guests and providers is our highest priority. 

Certain services require: 

  1. Consultation 

  2. Medical clearance 

  3. Provider approval 

  4. Additional appointment time 

  5. Specialized equipment 

  6. Specialized training 

  7. Review of medical history 

  8. Not every service is appropriate for every individual. 

Beauty Bar by Kristina Ruggerio reserves the right to decline, discontinue, modify, or reschedule any service 

when, in our professional judgment: 

  1. A requested treatment is not appropriate 

  2. A service falls outside a provider's qualifications or scope of practice 

  3. Required information has not been provided 

  4. A client has booked the incorrect service 

  5. Adequate appointment time is unavailable 

  6. Safety concerns exist 

  7. Equipment is unavailable 

  8. Business operations require modification 

Nothing in this policy is intended to discriminate against any protected class. Service decisions are based on safety, professional judgment, provider qualifications, available resources, and the specific service requested.  

8.Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to: 

  1. Book the correct service. 

  2. Arrive on time. 

  3. Complete required paperwork. 

  4. Provide accurate health information. 

  5. Inform providers of allergies, medications, pregnancy, implants, recent procedures, injuries, or other 

  6. relevant medical information. 

  7. Follow all pre-treatment and post-treatment instructions. 

  8. Treat staff and other guests respectfully. 

Failure to provide complete or accurate information may affect treatment eligibility or results. 

9.Booking the Correct Service

Clients are responsible for selecting the appropriate appointment when booking online. 

If an incorrect appointment is scheduled, Beauty Bar by Kristina Ruggerio reserves the right to: 

  1. Modify the scheduled service 

  2. Adjust pricing 

  3. Shorten the appointment 

  4. Reschedule the appointment 

  5. Decline the service when adequate time, equipment, provider qualifications, or safety requirements are unavailable 

  6. Booking an incorrect appointment does not guarantee that the requested service can be performed during the scheduled time. 

10.Deposits & Retainers

Certain appointments require a non-refundable retainer to reserve appointment time. 

Retainers are applied toward the scheduled service unless otherwise stated. Retainers may be forfeited if appointments are canceled, rescheduled, or missed in violation of our Cancellation Policy. 

11.Cancellation & No-Show Policy

We understand that plans can change, and we appreciate advance notice for cancellations or rescheduling. 

- 48-hour notice: Deposit (50%) is non-refundable and retained as a cancellation fee. 

- 24-hour notice: 100% of the service cost will be charged to the card on file. 

- No-shows: Result in immediate client termination and permanent booking restrictions. 

All cancellations and rescheduling must be made by phone and speaking directly with a 

team member. If you call outside of business hours (Sunday or Monday), please leave a 

voicemail within the required timeframe or email us at bbkrfrontdesk@gmail.com to ensure your request is documented. 

Appointment changes must be made by: 

  1. Calling our salon 

  2. Texting our business line  

  3. Emailing our front desk 

By scheduling an appointment, you authorize Beauty Bar by Kristina Ruggerio to charge the payment method on file for applicable cancellation, no-show, or late cancellation fees in accordance with this policy. 

12.Late Arrivals

Please arrive on time for your appointment. 

Late arrival may result in: 

  1. Reduced treatment time 

  2. Modification of scheduled services 

  3. Rescheduling 

  4. Cancellation fees when applicable 

Out of respect for all guests, appointments generally end at the originally scheduled time. 

13.Payment Policy

We accept cash, credit/debit cards, and checks for all services and retail purchases.

Payment in full is required upon completion of your appointment. 

Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing. 

We accept approved forms of payment offered by our business. 

Outstanding balances must be paid before future appointments may be scheduled. 

Returned payments, chargebacks, or fraudulent payment disputes may result in cancellation of future appointments and collection efforts to the extent permitted by law. 

14.Pricing

All prices are subject to change without notice. 

Service quotes are estimates and may vary depending on: 

  1. Hair length or density 

  2. Product usage 

  3. Treatment time 

  4. Complexity 

  5. Corrective work 

  6. Provider recommendations 

  7. Additional services requested during the appointment 

  8. Applicable taxes, when required by law, will be added to the final purchase price. 

15. Refund & Redo Policy

All sales are final. 

  1. No refunds are issued for any retail merchandise or services. 

  2. For color corrections, we offer a corrective service performed by the same stylist at no additional cost. 

  3. If you choose to have another stylist perform the correction, standard service rates apply. 

  4. We do not offer discounts, partial refunds, or credits for dissatisfaction. 

16.Gift Cards

Gift cards are redeemable for services and retail products offered by Beauty Bar by Kristina Ruggerio unless otherwise specified. 

Gift cards: 

  • Are treated like cash and should be safeguarded. 

  • Are not redeemable for cash except where required by applicable law. 

  • Are non-refundable. 

  • May not be replaced if lost, stolen, altered, or used without authorization. 

  • Must be presented at the time of redemption when required. 

Promotional gift cards, bonus certificates, or complimentary service vouchers may have additional restrictions, expiration dates where permitted by law, or exclusions stated at the time of issuance. 

17.Packages & Memberships 

From time to time, Beauty Bar by Kristina Ruggerio may offer treatment packages, memberships, prepaid 

services, or promotional plans. 

Unless otherwise stated: 

  1. Benefits apply only to the purchaser. 

  2. Packages are non-transferable unless approved by management. 

  3. Unused services have no cash value. 

  4. Membership pricing, benefits, or availability may change with advance notice. 

  5. Missed appointments remain subject to our Cancellation Policy. 

Services included in a package or membership may not be exchanged for unrelated services unless 

specifically permitted. 

18.Promotions & Discounts

We enjoy rewarding our guests through special offers and promotions.  

Unless specifically stated otherwise: 

  1. Promotions cannot be combined. 

  2. Discounts apply only during the promotional period. 

  3. Promotional pricing cannot be applied to previous purchases. 

  4. Offers may be limited by provider, availability, service type, or inventory. 

  5. Promotions may be modified or discontinued at any time. 

Beauty Bar by Kristina Ruggerio reserves the right to correct pricing or promotional errors. 

19.Retail Products

Professional skincare, haircare, cosmetics, wellness products, and accessories are selected based on quality and professional recommendations. 

Results vary from person to person. 

  • Clients are responsible for reviewing ingredient information and informing us of known allergies or sensitivities before purchasing or using products. 

  • If a manufacturer permits returns or exchanges, we will honor those policies to the extent applicable. 

  • Opened or used products may not be eligible for return unless defective or otherwise required by law. 

19.Hair Services

Hair services are customized based on consultation, hair condition, previous chemical services, timing, and desired outcome. 

Because every client's hair history is unique: 

  1. Exact color matches cannot be guaranteed. 

  2. Corrective services may require multiple appointments. 

  3. Additional charges may apply for extra product, time, or corrective work. 

  4. Providers may decline chemical services when doing so could reasonably compromise hair integrity or client safety. 

  5. Clients should disclose prior color, relaxers, keratin treatments, extensions, medications, and other factors that may affect results. 

20. Esthetic Services

Facials, chemical peels, dermaplaning, Hydrafacial®, microneedling, advanced skincare treatments, and other esthetic services are customized for each client. 

Clients agree to disclose: 

  1. Pregnancy or breastfeeding status 

  2. Prescription medications 

  3. Isotretinoin use 

  4. Allergies 

  5. Recent cosmetic procedures 

  6. Active skin conditions 

  7. Medical diagnoses relevant to treatment 

  8. Results vary based on skin type, home care, genetics, lifestyle, and compliance with post-treatment instructions. 

    No specific cosmetic outcome is guaranteed. 

21. Waxing Services

Waxing services require healthy skin appropriate for treatment. 

Clients must inform providers of: 

  1. Prescription retinoids 

  2. Topical retinoids 

  3. Recent laser treatments 

  4. Chemical peels 

  5. Sunburn 

  6. Recent cosmetic procedures 

  7. Medical conditions affecting skin integrity 

  8. Certain medications or skin conditions may make waxing unsafe. 

Providers may decline or modify waxing services when necessary to reduce the risk of injury. 

Brazilian waxing and other intimate waxing services are performed only when appropriate based on provider training, available equipment, safety considerations, and the specific service requested. A consultation may be required before certain intimate waxing services.  

21.Lash & Brow Services

Lash lifts, brow laminations, tinting, lash tinting, brow tinting, and similar services require healthy skin and lashes. 

Clients should disclose: 

  1. Eye conditions 

  2. Allergies 

  3. Recent eye surgery 

  4. Contact lens use 

  5. Pregnancy when relevant 

  6. Previous reactions to tinting products 

Results vary depending on natural hair texture, growth cycles, aftercare, and individual response. 

22. Nail Services

Nail services are cosmetic in nature. 

Clients with suspected fungal infections, contagious conditions, open wounds, or other conditions that may affect safe treatment may be referred to an appropriate healthcare provider before services can be performed. 

Artificial nail enhancements require regular maintenance. 

Beauty Bar by Kristina Ruggerio is not responsible for damage resulting from improper home care, accidents, or failure to follow maintenance recommendations. 

23.Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is intended for relaxation and general wellness and is not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment. 

Clients should disclose: 

  1. Recent surgeries 

  2. Pregnancy 

  3. Blood clotting disorders 

  4. Cardiovascular conditions 

  5. Infectious illnesses 

  6. Injuries 

24.Medical restrictions

Other conditions that may affect treatment 

Massage therapists may modify techniques, decline treatment, or recommend medical evaluation when appropriate for client safety. 

Professional boundaries are strictly maintained during all massage services. Inappropriate behavior, comments, or requests may result in immediate termination of the session, removal from the premises, and refusal of future services. Charges for the scheduled appointment may still apply. 

25. Permanent Makeup

Permanent makeup services require consultation, informed consent, and compliance with all pre-care and aftercare instructions. 

Because permanent makeup is a multi-step process: 

  1. Multiple sessions may be necessary. 

  2. Touch-ups are typically recommended. 

  3. Color retention varies. 

  4. Healing varies significantly between individuals. 

  5. Clients should disclose all medical conditions, medications, allergies, previous cosmetic tattooing, and 

  6. relevant procedures before treatment. 

    Failure to follow aftercare instructions may affect healing and final results. 

26. Bridal Services

Bridal services are subject to separate bridal agreements when applicable. 

Wedding dates, deposits, trial appointments, travel, scheduling, and minimum service requirements may be governed by a separate bridal contract. 

When a separate bridal agreement exists, that agreement controls in the event of any conflict with these Terms. 

27. Service Results

Beauty Bar by Kristina Ruggerio strives to provide exceptional care and professional recommendations.  

However, cosmetic and wellness services involve individual biological variation. 

Factors including genetics, age, medications, hormones, lifestyle, compliance with home care, previous treatments, and healing response affect results. 

Accordingly, no guarantee, warranty, or promise is made regarding any specific cosmetic, therapeutic, or medical outcome. 

28.Medical Spa Services 

Medical spa services offered by Beauty Bar by Kristina Ruggerio are performed only when appropriate under applicable laws and by or under the supervision of appropriately licensed medical professionals. 

Certain treatments require a medical consultation, medical history review, examination, or approval before treatment can be performed. 

Receiving one medical spa treatment does not automatically qualify a client for future treatments. Eligibility is evaluated at each visit. 

29. Consultation Requirement 

Some services require an initial consultation before treatment. 

A consultation allows us to: 

  1. Review medical history. 

  2. Discuss goals and expectations. 

  3. Explain risks and benefits.  

  4. Determine whether treatment is appropriate.

  5. Recommend alternatives when appropriate.  

  6. Develop an individualized treatment plan. 

Recommendations made during consultation are professional opinions and should not be interpreted as guarantees of treatment outcomes. 

30.Medical Information 

Clients agree to provide complete and accurate information regarding their health history, including but not limited to: 

  1. Medical conditions 

  2. Prescription medications 

  3. Over-the-counter medications

  4. Vitamins and supplements  

  5. Allergies 

  6. Previous cosmetic procedures  

  7. Previous surgeries 

  8. Pregnancy or breastfeeding status   

  9. Implanted medical devices 

  10. Recent illnesses 

  11. Skin conditions 

  12. History of abnormal scarring

  13. History of cold sores when relevant  

  14. Smoking or nicotine use when relevant to treatment 

Clients are responsible for notifying us of any changes to their medical history before each appointment. 

Failure to provide accurate information may affect treatment eligibility, increase the risk of complications, or require postponement or cancellation of services. 

31.Medical Clearance 

Certain treatments may require written medical clearance from a physician or other qualified healthcare provider. 

Beauty Bar by Kristina Ruggerio reserves the right to postpone or decline treatment until appropriate medical clearance has been received. 

32.Treatment Recommendations 

Treatment recommendations are individualized. 

Clients understand that: 

  1. Different providers may recommend different treatment plans.

  2. Multiple treatment options may exist. 

  3. A provider may recommend delaying treatment.  

  4. Additional treatments may be necessary. 

  5. Maintenance treatments may be recommended. 

  6. Acceptance or rejection of recommended treatment is the client's decision.

33.Cosmetic Results 

All cosmetic procedures involve biological variability. Results differ based on many factors including: 

  1. Age 

  2. Genetics 

  3. Skin quality 

  4. Lifestyle 

  5. Hormonal influences 

  6. Sun exposure

  7. Smoking 

  8. Medications 

  9. Home care 

  10. Healing response 

  11. Compliance with post-treatment instructions 

Beauty Bar by Kristina Ruggerio cannot guarantee any specific cosmetic or medical outcome. 

34.Injectable Treatments 

Injectable treatments, including neuromodulators, dermal fillers, biostimulatory injectables, and similar procedures, involve inherent risks. 

Clients understand that: 

  1. Results vary. 

  2. Temporary swelling, bruising, tenderness, redness, and asymmetry may occur.

  3. Touch-up appointments may be recommended. 

  4. Individual response cannot be predicted. 

  5. Longevity varies between individuals. 

Additional product may be required to achieve desired results and is generally billed separately unless otherwise specified. 

35.Laser, IPL & Energy-Based Treatments 

Laser, intense pulsed light (IPL), radiofrequency, RF microneedling, and other energy-based treatments require careful evaluation before treatment.

  1. Clients agree to disclose: 

  2. Recent sun exposure or tanning   

  3. Use of photosensitizing medications

  4. Active infections 

  5. Pregnancy when applicable

  6. History of abnormal pigmentation   

  7. Recent cosmetic procedures  

  8. Tattoos in or near the treatment area when relevant 

Failure to follow pre-treatment or post-treatment instructions may increase the risk of complications and may affect treatment outcomes. 

36.Follow-Up Appointments 

Certain treatments may require follow-up visits to evaluate healing, monitor progress, or determine whether additional treatment is appropriate. 

Attendance at follow-up appointments is strongly encouraged when recommended. 

37.Photographs for Medical Documentation 

Clinical photographs may be taken before, during, and after treatment to assist in treatment planning and documentation. 

These photographs become part of the client's treatment record. 

Separate written authorization will be obtained before any identifiable images are used for advertising, social media, educational purposes, or other marketing. 

Declining marketing authorization will not affect eligibility for treatment. 

38.Treatment Refusal or Discontinuation 

Beauty Bar by Kristina Ruggerio may postpone, discontinue, or decline treatment when, in our professional judgment: 

  1. Treatment is not medically appropriate. 

  2. Contraindications exist. 

  3. Required information has not been provided.  

  4. A client has not followed pre-treatment instructions.

  5. Safety concerns exist. 

  6. Equipment is unavailable. 

  7. Appropriate medical oversight is unavailable. 

  8. The requested treatment falls outside the provider's qualifications or scope of practice.

  9. The requested treatment is unlikely to provide a reasonable benefit. 

Whenever practical, we will explain the reason for the decision and discuss alternative options if appropriate. 

39.Client Health Changes 

Clients are responsible for informing us before treatment if they experience changes such as: 

  1. New medications 

  2. Pregnancy 

  3. New medical diagnoses Hospitalization 

  4. Surgery 

  5. Skin infection 

  6. Fever 

  7. Active illness 

  8. Significant injury 

These changes may affect treatment eligibility. 

39.Minors 

Certain services may not be available to individuals under the age of 18. 

When services are provided to minors, they may require: 

  1. A parent or legal guardian to be present. 

  2. Written consent from a parent or legal guardian. 

  3. Compliance with applicable laws and professional standards. 

Beauty Bar by Kristina Ruggerio reserves the right to decline treatment for minors when appropriate. 

40.Medical Emergencies 

Clients experiencing a medical emergency should immediately call 911 or seek emergency medical care. Beauty Bar by Kristina Ruggerio does not provide emergency medical services. 

Questions regarding treatment reactions should be directed to our office as soon as reasonably possible so that we may assist with appropriate next steps. 

41.Home Care 

Professional recommendations regarding hair care, skincare, aftercare, sun protection, activity restrictions, and product use are intended to support healing and optimize results. 

Failure to follow recommended aftercare instructions may increase the likelihood of complications or reduce treatment effectiveness. 

Clients remain responsible for following all written and verbal aftercare instructions provided by their treatment provider. 

42.Future Treatment Eligibility 

Receiving treatment on one occasion does not guarantee eligibility for future treatment. 

Eligibility may change over time based on health history, medications, healing response, provider assessment, evolving standards of care, or other relevant circumstances. 

Beauty Bar by Kristina Ruggerio will continue to evaluate each client individually at each visit. 

43.Independent Medical Advice 

Information provided by Beauty Bar by Kristina Ruggerio, including consultations, website content, educational materials, emails, text messages, and social media content, is intended for general informational purposes. 

It is not a substitute for individualized medical diagnosis, treatment, or advice from a qualified healthcare provider. 

Clients should consult their own physician or other appropriate healthcare professional regarding medical concerns unrelated to the services we provide. 

44.Client Conduct 

Beauty Bar by Kristina Ruggerio is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for our clients, team members, and business partners. 

We ask all guests to treat everyone with courtesy and professionalism. 

The following behavior is not permitted: 

  1. Threatening or abusive behavior 

  2. Harassment of staff or guests

  3. Physical violence 

  4. Sexual harassment or inappropriate comments  

  5. Discriminatory conduct 

  6. Intoxication or impairment that may affect safety

  7. Intentional property damage 

  8. Theft or attempted theft  

  9. Recording staff or other clients without permission  

  10. Repeated disruption of business operations 

If inappropriate behavior occurs, we may: 

  1. Refuse service 

  2. End the appointment immediately  

  3. Require the client to leave the premises   

  4. Decline future appointments 

  5. Contact law enforcement when appropriate 

Applicable service fees may still apply. 

45.Right to Refuse or Discontinue Service 

Beauty Bar by Kristina Ruggerio reserves the right to refuse, modify, postpone, or discontinue services when reasonably necessary, including for: 

  1. Client or staff safety 

  2. Health concerns 

  3. Contraindications 

  4. Inappropriate behavior  

  5. Incomplete or inaccurate required information  

  6. Failure to follow pre-care or aftercare instructions  

  7. Provider qualifications or scope of practice   

  8. Equipment or facility issues 

  9. Operational needs  

  10. Compliance with applicable laws or regulations 

This policy is applied based on legitimate business, safety, medical, operational, or legal considerations and not on any characteristic protected by applicable law. 

46.Personal Belongings 

Clients are responsible for their personal belongings. 

Beauty Bar by Kristina Ruggerio is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property unless required by law. 

We recommend leaving valuable items at home whenever possible. 

47.Children & Additional Guests 

To help ensure a relaxing and safe environment: 

  1. Children receiving services must be supervised by a parent or legal guardian unless otherwise permitted. 

  2. Children not receiving services should not be left unattended. 

  3. Additional guests may be asked to wait in designated areas when treatment room space is limited. 

For certain medical spa procedures, only the client may be permitted in the treatment room unless an accommodation is required by law. 

48.Animals 

Service animals that are individually trained to perform work or tasks for a person with a disability are welcome in areas where permitted by law. 

For the health, safety, and comfort of all guests: 

  1. Pets and emotional support animals that are not recognized as service animals under applicable law 

  2. are generally not permitted unless specifically authorized for a business purpose or event.

  3. Service animals must remain under the handler's control at all times. 

If a service animal's behavior creates a direct threat to health or safety, is not under control, or is not housebroken, we may request that the animal be removed in accordance with applicable law. 

Nothing in this policy is intended to limit rights provided by disability laws. 

49.Photography & Video 

To protect the privacy of our guests and staff: 

  • Photography and video recording inside the salon or medspa may be limited.

  • Recording staff or other clients without their consent is prohibited. 

Beauty Bar by Kristina Ruggerio may capture photographs or video for treatment documentation or marketing only with appropriate client authorization where required. 

50.Privacy Notice 

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. Information we may collect includes: 

  1. Name 

  2. Address 

  3. Email address 

  4. Telephone number 

  5. Date of birth 

  6. Appointment history 

  7. Medical information voluntarily provided for treatment

  8. Payment information 

  9. Purchase history 

  10. Website activity 

  11. Communications with our business 

We collect information only as reasonably necessary to: 

  1. Schedule appointments

  3. Maintain treatment records 

  4. Improve our services

51.Sharing Information 

We do not sell your personal information. 

We may share information with trusted service providers who assist us in operating our business, such as:
